The Save Venice UN BALLO IN MASCHERA, Friday April 10, 2015 at The Pierre Hotel
Last night was The Save Venice UN BALLO IN MASCHERA at The Pierre Hotel.
What a night. Dolce & Gabbana and Buccellati were the 2 sponsors who dressed and bedecked with wonderful gowns and fabulous jewels many of the gorgeous women who were in attendance.
As the guests arrived they stopped for a photo before entering into cocktails. The room was buzzing and I had such a fun time.

The Studio Museum In Harlem Spring Lunch at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel. NYC
Last Friday was the The Studio Museum In Harlem Spring Lunch at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC. This event is always the signal to me that Spring is finally here. The yellow roses on the tables and the colorful dress warn by this elegant group of women begins my season with a big smile. I love the museum and Thelma Golden who's charm, charisma, total dedication and hard work keep taking the museum to the highest level and then raises the bar to continue the museums growth and success.
I was seated for lunch and enjoyed the wonderful food and the great company of some of the museums staff members.
So take the subway, bus, taxi or uber and travel uptown to visit this amazing museum. You will be supporting part of the amazing art wold that NY has to offer and getting a first hand glimpse and a lot of inspiration from this Harlem Jewel.

BCRF Gala at the Warldorf Astoria Spring 2015
This year the BCRF Gala honoring Leonard Lauder was held on April 30th at the Waldorf Astoria. The event also known as The Hot Pink Party was bigger than ever. After dinner Sir Elton John introduced Tony Bennet who sang with his amazing voice and stage presence and then the 2 sang a duet together which brought everyone to their feet with applause.
The night was divided into several events. Firstly there was the check receiving with Delta Airlines presenting a one million three hundred thousand dollar check and then Von Mandl Family Foundation who donated Two Hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Next were the arrivals of all the guests followed by the pink carpet then finally it was time for dinner and entertainment.

MOMA Party in the Garden 2015
Even the rain could not stop the celebrations. This year's Moma Party in the garden also marks David Rockefellers 100 th Birthday which is tomorrow June 12th 2015.
Friends, family and happy NY's walked through the rain to get to the tents covering the garden. No one seemed to care and everyone wanted to say Hello to Mr Rockefeller.

Hope Funds for Cancer Research Friday Night at Marble House
I just got back from Newport where I photographed the weekend events for the Hope Funds for Cancer Research festivities as they held their annual summer Gala.
The night before the big event was a dinner at Marble House that was attended by the Fellows and those close to the organization while Saturday was a wonderful White Tie event held at the Breakers. This is the first time in many many years since such a party has been held in this magnificent grand househas been held in this magnificent grand house.

Hope Funds for Cancer Research have a wonderful summer Gala at the Breakers Newport
It has been many years since the Breakers has opened its door for the grand occasion of a white tie Dinner with beautifully elegant men and women dinning in the main hall and dancing away the evening after dinner to the sounds of a live band. Such was Saturday night when the halls and rooms were filled with doctors, research fellows, old family socialites and other supporters of the Hope Funds for Cancer Research.
In her speech at the end of the evening Leah Caan reminisced on her thoughts of what it would have been like 100 years ago to attend such an event and pointed out that at that time although many things would have been the same there were no cures for cancer or successful treatments available. She expressed her hopes that in another 100 years when people are enjoying the beautiful and majestic space of the Breakers that they will note that Cancer will have become a disease of the past.
Thanks to the hard work of all involved Hope Funds supports it fellows in research into some of the rarest cancers so often overlooked by organizations funding in research.

NYC Ballet Fala Gala 2015
What do you get when you combine Sarah Jessica Parker and Adrienne Arsht with NYC Ballet? You get a gala full of generous donors ready to have a celebration. Add Cartier as a sponsor and the bling in the room sparkles, include Champagne by Ruinart and the dancing continues till well after midnight.
We may have had an eclipse of the moon this week that lead to new aligning of the stars. It was only a hint of great things to come.
All I can say was that Wednesday night was FANTASTIC.

It was a special treat to find myself in San Diego for the 2nd Annual Hope Funds for Cancer Research Presentation and Dinner at the beautiful Rancho Valencia.
The night was warm as old friends and new joined together for discussions and dinner under the stars in what has to be one of the most beautiful places in southern California.

FARE LUNCH at Cipriani 2016
Yesterday was the 17th Annual New York Spring Luncheon for FARE, the Food Allergy and Research & Education Organization.
Held at Ciriani 42nd St, Harriette Rose Katz and the Gourmet Advisory Services Team were the event Advisory Chair and the space looked amazing thanks to Duan Stroud.
s alwaysThis year the Legacy award was given to the vivacious and tireless Abby Braverman who's 2 beautiful daughter were on hand to talk and also present their mum with the much deserved award.
